Dent County Criminal Court Cases
Dent County is part of Missouri's 42nd Judicial Circuit, along with Crawford, Iron, Reynolds, and Wayne counties. The Circuit Court hears felony cases. Its associate circuit division handles misdemeanors and early felony proceedings, including preliminary steps before a felony reaches the circuit level. Salem Municipal Division handles Salem ordinance and municipal traffic matters. These are distinct court files even when the same event began with one arrest.

Look at the court name before reading the result. A municipal disposition does not stand in for a circuit court search, and a Dent County docket cannot reveal a federal filing.

Dent County Docket Terms
Missouri docket terms can change the meaning of a result. “Disposed” means the court completed the case at that level. It does not always mean a conviction, and it does not show that all financial or supervision duties ended. Read the disposition for each count and check later docket entries for an appeal, probation violation, or amended judgment.

- SIS
- Suspended imposition of sentence. Successful completion can avoid a conventional conviction, but it is not the same as expungement.
- SES
- Suspended execution of sentence. A sentence is imposed but its execution is suspended under court conditions.
- Capias
- A court order directing that a person be taken into custody, often shown in warrant-related docket text.
- Disposed
- The case has reached an outcome at that court level, whether by dismissal, plea, trial judgment, or another final action.

How a Criminal Case Moves
